The second-annual PokerListings Battle of Malta is over and Germany's Louis Cartarius is champion. Cartarius beat local poker player Konrad Abela to claim the title and €80,000. Las Vegas nightclub promoter Jay Farber was the only non-professional at the 2013 WSOP Main Event final table but according to many in the poker community he performed the best. Farber came into today brimming with confidence and it looks to have paid off. He's got the chip lead going into heads-up play against Ryan Riess and even though he's guaranteed more than $5 million, Farber has his sights set squarely on the title of world champion and the $8.3 million that goes with it.
Marc-Etienne McLaughlin Busts Sixth in WSOP Main Event
French-Canada had a chance to crown a second WSOP Main Event champion but, sadly, Marc-Etienne McLaughlin's run came to an end in sixth place. On the bright side he did take home more than $1.6 million. McLaughlin took a few minutes to chat with the poker media following his elimination about the state of poker in Quebec and how much his supporters meant to him at this final table.

Dutch poker pro Michiel Brummelhuis made history when he became the first player from the Netherlands to ever make the WSOP Main Event final table but, sadly for his fans back home, his epic run came to an end in seventh place. Brummelhuis pocketed more than $1.2 million and takes a few minutes to speak to the poker media following his elimination.

Jake Balsiger Hit by Truck, Turned Settlement into 3rd at WSOP Main Event
